Blick Rothenberg LLP entertained many clients in their customarily generous fashion, with a golf day in the height of this year’s glorious British summer at the prestigious Moor Park Golf Club in Hertfordshire. A good time was had by all, particularly by Blick Rothenberg international tax partner Paul Smith, who won the Blick Rothenberg tournament trophy, an impressive shield.
Earlier in the year, Blick Rothenberg was engaged as auditor and corporate tax advisor for Talascend Holdings Limited. Talascend specialise in recruitment in the technical and engineering sectors and they place staff on projects such as Cross Rail, and previously the Channel Tunnel. Blick Rothenberg was referred to Talascend by fellow BKR member, Baltimore-based Gross, Mendelsohn & Associates. In turn, Blick Rothenberg recommended member firms in Abu Dhabi and India to assist with the audits of Talascend’s subsidiaries in those countries.
As if all this excitement wasn’t enough, Blick Rothenberg was recently visited by Michael Izza, Chief Executive of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Blick Rothenberg partner Andrew Sanford is an active member of the institute’s Learning and Professional Development, and Mr Izza’s visit was a fitting recognition of the valuable contribution the firm has thereby made to the ICAEW.
A report from London would not be complete without mention of the happy birth of young Prince George to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. He was born within yards of the very office occupied by Blick Rothenberg until last December, and therefore his arrival was close to the heart, if not the office, of the firm.
