BKR International is saddened to report that Francisco L. Quintanilla (Monterrey) passed away on March 18. Francisco became a CPA in 1951, sharing his great knowledge of auditing and tax. He was employed by various accounting firms throughout the years, and founded his own firm in 1990. Francisco served as president and director of various organizations, such as the CPAs’ Institute of Mexico and the Pan-American Institute. He also worked with many finance executives. In addition to accounting, Francisco was a teacher and an author.
In 1995, QGA Contadores Publicos, S.C. (Monterrey) joined BKR International. Francisco was very proud to be a member of BKR International, and served on BKR’s Americas Regional Board (as the Latin American firms’ representative) and Worldwide Board for many years. Francisco is survived by his five children, 16 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. He left a great legacy and touched the hearts of all of his family and friends.
