It was with great pleasure to be informed of the public recognition recently awarded to Daniel Faura (Faura Casas, Barcelona).
The Foundation for Training and Research in Spanish Public Sector Auditing (FIASEP) has awarded its annual award in the field of public audit to the careeer of Daniel Faura, president of the Catalan CPA’s Institute (ICJCE) and managing partner of BKR International’s member firm in Barcelona, Faura Casas.
This is the first time that such title has been given to a person who does not work in Public Administration and signifies the important role that auditors are called to play in transparency in the public sector.
The Foundation for Training and Research in Spanish Public Sector Auditing is composed of representatives of Chambers and regional Syndicate Committees of Auditors and internal control Institutions. Among its many activities include the provision of two awards: an activity and a professional in the field of public sector auditing, both awarded by a jury chaired this year by Vicente Montesinos Julve, Professor of Financial Economics and Accounting from the University of Valencia and vice president of FIASEP, and comprising renowned personalities in the academic field and of public scrutiny.
