The BKR EMEA Region – Britain, Ireland and Channel Islands group met for their annual meeting at Blick Rothenberg’s premises in Covent Garden, London, on Monday 21 March 2016, preceded by a group dinner on the evening of Sunday 20 March.
Members from Blick Rothenberg (London), Cassons (Manchester), Harbinson Mulholland (Belfast), Jackson Fox (Jersey), Lince Salisbury (Guernsey), Ormsby & Rhodes (Dublin) and UNW (Newcastle) all attended. In addition the group welcomed Maureen Schwartz, the Executive Director of BKR Internationals World Headquarters and Americas Region, who was joined the group for dinner and attended the start of the meeting.
During the meeting Roger King, of new member firm Jackson Fox, was presented with his BKR International Certificate and welcomed to the Association by Bob Rothenberg, Blick Rothenberg, and a previous Chair of the BKR International Worldwide Board.
Chairing the event, the EMEA region’s Executive Director, Tim Morris (London) commenced the meeting by inviting each firm to provide an update on recent activity within their firms. Roger King then provided an overview on High Net Worth Immigration to Jersey. The afternoon was spent discussing a diverse range of topics including Valuations of Shares for Tax Purposes, FRS102, Recruitment Trends and Anti-Money Laundering.
The meeting was received very well by those who attended. As always the meeting gave members an opportunity to discuss development issues within their respective firms, share common interests, latest service offerings, initiatives and experiences in recent practice matters.
