Participants who attended the BKR International 2019 Asia Pacific Regional Meeting last FEBRUARY 22-25, 2019 went on a social trip to the famous places in India. Around 31 delegates and their companions travelled to Agra. Located about 204 km south of Delhi in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, Agra is one of the most famous tourist spots of the country. The city, situated on the west bank of the Yamuna river, is known to the world as home to a wonder of the world, Taj Mahal. TheTaj Mahal,also known as the “Crown of the Palace,” an ivory-white marble mausoleum on the south bank of the Yamuna river in the city of Agra. The Taj Mahal was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for being the “Jewel of Muslim Art in India” and one of the universally admired masterpieces of the world’s heritage. It is regarded by many as the best example of Mughal architecture and a symbol of India’s rich history. The Taj Mahal attracts 7–8 million visitors a year. The world’s greatest love tribute and one of the 7 wonders of the world, stands on the right bank of the Yamuna.
The group also visited Palaces in the Fort – the Anguri Bagh, Golden Pavilions, Khas Mahal, Diwan-I-Khas, Diwan-I-Am, which are all splendid examples of Mughal architecture.
