Adebola Olubanjov (Adebola Sobanjo & Co), Michel Kangmeni (Auditec-Foirier) & Ashish Jagarnath (International Proximity) (L to R)
The event started on Saturday evening with a dinner hosted by Logista at the Café Beiritz. There were a number of staff from Logista present and this gave the delegates a chance to meet the host firm in a relaxed and stylish atmosphere. On the Sunday there was the opportunity for the delegates to mix with a fantastic day out at the Mongena Private Game Lodge where delegates could appreciate the majesty of the local area with its abundant wild life. The Gala dinner was held on Tuesday evening in the stylish Pachas Restaurant, where delegates sampled a variety of local dishes.
On Monday the business sessions comenced and after introductions by Heinrich Regenass from host firm, Logista, Tim Morris, the Europe, Middle East and Africa Executive Director of BKR International gave an update on BKR International and the various ongoing BKR initiatives, especially those in the EMEA Region. These discussions were followed by a series of presentations over the two days, which included topics as varied as the Cloud, Taxation, Auditors Liability and there was an excellent Economic View of the region which put the remaining discussions into context. As always there was an opportunity for some really useful updates from member firms. The meeting finished with a very poignant round up from Doug Boake, the founder of Johannesburg member firm Boake Incorporated.
Big thanks to Heinrich Regenass and all the team from Logista for hosting such useful and interesting meeting.
