On Friday, September 12 in Milan (Italy), the 2014 Alps and Mediterranean meeting took place.
Even if September in Milan is not as delightful as Nice (last year’s venue), the 14 delegates from 8 separate firms coming from 5 different countries in the region enjoyed a useful and pleasant working day, sharing professional experiences as well as strengthening personal relationships.
Starting from the much appreciated 2013 experience, delegates gave an update on the last 12 months’ news regarding their own firms and markets where they operate.
The issues proposed gave the possibility to discuss in detail the general economic situation and common experience on topical tax issues as well as the evolution on Transfer Pricing legislation and potential liabilities in tax compliance and assistance.
In the afternoon, after a relaxing light lunch in the garden of Hotel Manin, the meeting continued with a general discussion focused on the way to generate business in the Alps and Mediterranean region and on the difficulties / opportunities of running an accounting firm in such a critical period.
Delegates who decided to enjoy the Milan fashion weekend were hosted by BKR in the downtown Valentino II restaurant for a real “Italian dinner”.
