Adam Dimmick, shareholder at Briggs & Veselka Co. CPAs and head of the firm’s construction practice, assumed a position on the board of the Houston chapter of the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA). As a board member, Dimmick will oversee the monthly chapter events and programs for over 200 members of the CFMA, in addition to continuing his efforts as the membership committee chair.
“I’ve been proud to be part of this community of financial professionals, and hope to assist in expanding both the footprint and the relevance of CFMA in Houston,” said Dimmick. “With the numerous regulatory and financial compliance changes before us in the next 18 months, the relevance of CFMA will only increase,” he added.
“We are proud of Adam on many fronts—being named one of the top CPAs Under 40, as well as his volunteer work with the Houston Community ToolBank—plus his volunteer coaching for his son and daughter’s soccer teams, he has demonstrated his dedication to the community on many fronts,” said Briggs & Veselka Managing Shareholder John Flatowicz. Professionals at the firm volunteer their time for more than 100 Houston area community, religious and professional organizations, and community service is part of the firm’s core values.
The Briggs & Veselka construction practice provides tax, audit, and consulting services, including cyber security and vendor audits, for construction and related companies with revenues ranging from $5 million to nearly $1 billion. In 2016, the firm introduced their “Framework Accounting” solution, a scalable financial review package for small but growing construction companies.
